Why Breast lift in Guadalajara?

Breast lift surgery, medically known as mastopexy, restores aging and pregnancy-altered breasts to a more youthful state. Genetics, aging, weight loss, and pregnancy can all lead to breast ptosis (sagging). During this procedure, your doctors lift and tighten the breast tissue to reshape the contour and projection of the breasts to increase a woman’s confidence and self-image.

Breast lift options

Dr. Rafael Arenas performs breast lift surgery as an outpatient procedure done under general anesthesia. The surgery takes between one and three hours, during which your doctor removes excess skin from the lower portion of the breast to lift and re-contour your breast shape.

About this procedure

During a breast lift, excess skin is removed and breast tissue is reshaped to lift the breasts.

This surgery will not significantly change the size of the breasts. However, it can be done in conjunction with breast augmentation or reduction surgery

Breast Lift Surgery Can Correct

Breast Ptosis After Weight Loss

Women who experience significant weight loss are often left with excess, sagging skin on the breasts that hinders their confidence and self-image. Breast lift surgery can aid these women so that their weight loss transformation is complete.

Post-pregnancy Breasts

With the rapid gain and loss of volume during pregnancy and breastfeeding, your breasts often have difficulty reverting to their previous form. Many women turn to breast lift surgery to return their breasts to their pre-pregnancy shape and size.

Aging Breasts

With time, your breast skin and tissue lose their structure, strength, and elasticity. When this occurs and gravity also takes its toll, your breasts may experience severe elongation and sag. Breast lift surgery returns the breasts to their natural height and position on the chest.

BREAST LIFT FAQS

The results of a breast lift are long lasting but not permanent and will not halt the aging process. Future pregnancies and gravity will eventually affect the appearance of your breast lift. That being said, your breasts will always remain better than if you didn’t have the surgery.

Candidates for breast lift surgery experience some level of breast ptosis that proves dissatisfying. Patients should have realistic expectations of their results and be in good physical health.

Most patients put off having breast lift surgery until after they are finished having children. There is a chance that pregnancy after a breast lift will alter the appearance of your breasts. You may experience additional sagging and alterations in size and shape. In most cases, women who’ve had a previous breast lift are still able to breastfeed as long as the nipples are not removed during the surgery. If you think this might be a future concern, please inform Dr. Arenas during your consultation.

Before your operation, you will meet with Dr. Arenas for a pre-operative appointment. During this appointment, you will complete lab work and go over all pre- and post-operative instructions. You should avoid all blood thinners (such as aspirin, vitamin E, and ginkgo biloba) for two weeks and avoid smoking for at least one month.

While risks and complications are rare with breast lift surgery, they can include:

  • Anesthesia risks
  • Changes in nipple sensation
  • Infection
  • Poor scarring
  • Breast asymmetry

.

Almost absolute rest is usually recommended for about 48 hours after the mastopexy intervention. And after this period you must continue to be careful and not carry too much weight. It is even better not to raise your arms or drive for the first two weeks.
